Pricing & client fit
Involvement in pricing strategies and sales brings an understanding of fee expectations, service mix and the clients a practice wants to attract.
Led by David Ellis, we bring experience of how accountancy firms win clients, price their work, onboard new business and manage delivery.
That wider perspective helps us build marketing around the practice you want to grow.
David’s experience extends across marketing and the day-to-day workings of accountancy practices. He is not an accountant; his perspective comes from working closely with practice owners and their teams.
Involvement in pricing strategies and sales brings an understanding of fee expectations, service mix and the clients a practice wants to attract.
Experience with client onboarding and anti-money laundering processes helps connect new-business activity with the practical steps of bringing a client into the firm.
Hands-on involvement in workflow management, including working with Engager, brings an appreciation of capacity, handovers and how work moves through a practice.
Winning a client is the beginning. The client also needs to fit your services, your fee expectations and your capacity to deliver.
From managing appointment campaigns to building a specialist agency and working within practices, David brings both an agency and an operational perspective.
David worked as Office Manager at Marketplace Practice Group, a business specialising in marketing and business development for accountants. It gave him an early grounding in campaign management, appointment setting and matching prospective clients to the right practice.
David founded Quality Impact Marketing, an agency dedicated to marketing services for accountants. Over the following eight years, he developed the business and worked with practices on attracting new clients, communicating their strengths and building their fee base.
When his daughter was born in 2018, David stepped back to make time for family. In the years that followed, including the disruption of the pandemic, he continued working as a consultant to accountancy practices.
Working closely with Acconomy added experience from inside a practice: understanding its commercial priorities, services and operational pressures, alongside its marketing.
Through Just 4 Accountants, David brought that experience together with a renewed focus on LinkedIn appointment setting and the website, email and content support that helps turn introductions into clients.
Some firms want to build recurring fees. Others want larger clients, more advisory work, a stronger local presence or a practice better prepared for an eventual sale. Those goals call for different campaigns.
